Teri Tangles with the legislators

Wheelchair rugby is not for the faint of heart! Teri shows Minister of Employment and Income Assistance, Claude Richmond, a few of her moves. She was at the British Columbia legislature in Victoria along with other athletes, scientific researchers, the media and elected officials, to help celebrate a government grant for a new passenger van for wheelchair athletes. The photo was published on the front page of the Victoria Times-Colonist.

The B.C. government announced a $225,000 grant to the BC Wheelchair Sports Association. A portion of the grant goes to the van, which will transport athletes to events around the province.

"It was fun to showcase rugby and celebrate the new accessible van," said Teri. "It's always a positive experience when I can give something back to the community."
